Detailed Design & Highway Access

We undertook detailed design of the proposed highway access  for the new Costa Coffee development at Glasshoughton. With all site data information obtained we produced the detailed design, necessary for Technical Approval and Section 184 Agreement. 

As part of this job, we have been commisionned to provide a Transport Statement (TS). TS provides a detailed appraisal of all transport impacts associated with proposals for a proposed Costa Coffee drive-thru at a site located to the south of the Thunderhead Ridge/Leeds Road (A639)/Asda/Colorado Way (A639)/Leeds Road (A6539) roundabout, to be accessed via Thunderhead Ridge in the Glasshoughton area of Castleford. 

The main scope of the project was to do:

• Road Causality Appraisal
• Traffic impact 
• Access, Parking and Internal Layout
